Bhushan Raju Golani

AI Research Engineer · ex-Amazon SDE · MS Data Science @ UMich

I am a first-year Master's student in Data Science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I currently work as an AI Research Engineer with Prof. Scott Pletcher, building multi-agent AI platforms and RAG systems.

My research interests lie in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models. I enjoy building scalable AI systems, from training transformers from scratch to designing safety benchmarks for child-facing LLMs.

Prior to UMich, I spent two years at Amazon on the Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence team, building highly scalable cloud services and LLM-powered classification systems. I graduated with a dual B.Tech & M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Minor in Computer Science) from IIT Kharagpur.
